Frequently Asked Questions
What if I start a retainer in the middle of the calendar month?
The hours and monthly fee will be pro-rated so you can still take advantage of the savings.
Do the hours roll over into the next calendar month?
The hours do not rollover. If you anticipate a change in workload, you can always change the following month’s retainer to a different plan.
What if I exceed the allotted number of hours?
Additional hours may be borrowed from up to one month in the future or purchased at the standard rate.
How is time calculated?
Time is calculated in 15 minute increments.
When is payment due?
If you’ve just started subscribing to a monthly retainer, payment is due before work can begin. If you’re already on a retainer plan, the following month’s retainer is due by the last business day of the current month.
How do I change or cancel the following month’s retainer?
Just submit a written request with 5 business days notice to change or cancel the following month’s retainer plan.
Can you come to our Oahu office?
Yes, I can come to your office, coffee shop, or wherever you do your work. A face-to-face can be very valuable in order to get to know you and your team, kickstart the project, and work collaboratively.
How is travel time calculated?
I do bill for the travel time to and from your office. If you are local and would like to work with me in person, travel time to and from your location is calculated at half the time. (Example: a 1 hour round-trip means 30 minutes is applied against your retainer.)
